Ebury is hiring: Trade Finance Graduate / Analyst

As part of the Trade Finance Operational Team, the candidate will be responsible for approving new requests to finance the purchase of goods or provision of services in line with company policies, processes and procedures. Thecandidate will conduct appropriate due diligence checks on transactions to mitigate any risk involving Trade Based Money Laundering, Fraud and Sanctions.

This is a hybrid role of Operations and Client Servicing for Trade Finance, so an effective communicator who can take ownership of client issues and remain accountable through to completion is needed.

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in English and Spanish, fluency in another language is an advantage.

Responsibilities: 

• Processing of new TF requests promptly and efficiently to facilitate trade process
• Carrying out appropriate due diligence checks on transactions in line with company AML, TBML, Fraud, Risk and Sanctions policies and escalating where required
• Conduct Screening on TF transactions and ensure alerts are reviewed and discounted appropriately, in line with company policies and procedures
• Provide a high level of customer service to clients, acting on their instructions in accordance to internal procedures and responding in a timely manner
• Complete tasks allocated by line manager with focus and in a timely manner
• Communicate the status of tasks to colleagues, supervisors and managers, and escalate problems swiftly as needed
• Take ownership of client issues and remain accountable through to completion
• Act as stakeholder between departments to ensure smooth processing of client trade
• Ensure all transactions processed are in accordance with all internal policies, processes and procedures
